1 ciabatta bread
500 g tomatoes
15 g fresh basil
40 ml olive oil
1 tsp oregano
1 clove of garlic
optional: Crema di Balsamico
Step 1- Toast it
If you bought a half-finished ciabatta bread, prepare it according to the instructions and let it cool completely before cutting.
Cut the ciabatta bread into slices about 2-3 cm thick.
Put a well coated pan on medium heat and put the ciabatta slices in it. Now toast it well on both sides and set aside to cool.
Step 2- Dice it
Wash the tomatoes, carefully pat them dry and cut them into fine dices.
Carefully wash and finely chop the basil.
Take a large bowl and add the diced tomatoes, chopped basil and press a clove of garlic into the bowl.
Then add 1 teaspoon of oregano and 40 ml of olive oil and mix carefully with a spoon. Now add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3- Arrangement
Take a slice of toasted ciabatta bread and put the marinated tomatoes on it.
Once the tomatoes are distributed, you can garnish the whole thing with a few drops of Crema di Balsamico (or directly add some more to the plate) and that's it.
