Chocolate Chip Cake

What you will need:


  • 400 g flour
  • 180 g sugar
  • 8 g vanilla sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder (12 g) 
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 180 ml rapeseed or sunflower oil
  • 320 ml oat or plant milk
  • 3 tbsp. chocolate sprinkles (vegan)
  • 200 g chocolate glaze or
  • 200 g plain chocolate (vegan) & 1 tsp canola oil


Step 1- The dough

  • Preheat the oven to 175°C or 160°C (convection oven).
  • Put 400 g flour, 180 g sugar, 8 g vanilla sugar, 3 tsp baking powder (12 g), 1 pinch salt in a bowl and mix well.
  • Add 180 ml oil and 320 ml oat milk and mix until smooth.
  • Finally, add 3 tablespoons of chocolate chips and stir it in.

Step 2- Bake

  • Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and gently smooth it down at the end.
  • Bake at 160°C convection oven or 175°C  for 15 minutes, then remove the pan and make a 2 cm deep cut in the middle with a knife. Then bake for about 20-35 minutes.

Step 3- The glaze

  • Option 1: Melt the cake glaze according to instructions and pour over the cooled cake.
  • Option 2: Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt in a water bath. Then add 1 tsp oil, mix well and pour over cooled cake.

 Enjoy your cake!


If you are not sure if the cake is done, just poke it with a wooden thoothpick. If something sticks, you still have to have a little patience.
